Dear Off The Wall

We wanted to thank you for the opportunity to stay at the Off The Wall ministry house a month ago. When our son described what his intern position involved, we were trying to visualize his day and the impact it’s having on his life. Staying at the house opened our eyes as to the service you are offering your interns. I reminisced back to my two months at L’abri Switzerland. Much like my experience, you have combined the opportunity for training, ministry, and personal growth in a way I have not seen in a long time. We saw the young people involved in Bible study, preaching, and small group outreach preparation. We were moved to see how each young man and woman in OTW seemed to hunger to know Jesus better and to live out his love in the context of the ministry home. We know your interns will reap not only an eternal understanding of their purpose in God’s creation, but will be able to effectively share this understanding with the many lives they will encounter. We truly experienced the joy and the peace of the Holy Spirit at 453 W. High Street.

Testimony

Last month, my husband and I went to visit our son, Mike, at Off the Wall Ministry. He has been interning with the ministry since the end of November. What we found happening there, were 6 young men, being truly transformed by God. We also found a staff, Don, Travis and Kellie, pouring into these young men around the clock, without ceasing and loving them and caring for them with every ounce of energy they have.The most amazing thing we witnessed, was one evening the boys asked if they could have “J-Time”. That’s what they call Jesus Time. We had no idea what we were in for. We witnessed a room full of young men and young women reading His Word, being taught by Don, conversing about what they have learned, and a prayer and worship time like I have never witnessed before among young people. We truly saw the Holy Spirit moving in these young people’s lives and in their hearts. It was nothing short of miraculous.My husband and I are so thankful that God led our son to Off The Wall Ministry. His relationship with Christ is growing every day, along with his understanding of who God is and how much he is loved by his Lord.
